Dr A.A.J. Smits (Armand)

Armand Smits is Assistant Professor of Organisational Change and Design at Radboud University. He received his Ph.D. from the same university. Previously he was affiliated with Maastricht University and Eindhoven University of Technology.

He studies the multilevel development and implementation of new standards, products, and practices and how these innovations achieve institutional credibility and organizational robustness. At the intersection of organization theory, innovation studies, and sustainability, he uses in-depth case studies, fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), and tracing processes to identify the variety of pathways toward organizational change.
