Dr A.A.J. Smits (Armand)

Armand Smits is Assistant Professor of Organisational Change and Design at Radboud University. He received his Ph.D. from the same university. Previously he was affiliated with Maastricht University and Eindhoven University of Technology.

His overarching research theme concerns the challenges and opportunities that are associated with the use of external ideas, practices, and knowledge for organizational change and innovation. Increasingly in the context of sustainability transitions. A part of his research is also driven by an interest in configurational theorizing and methods of analysis. He usually applies qualitative research procedures, including fsQCA.
