Marnix Snel (1985) is the Director of Education of the Faculty of Law. He studied Public Administration and Dutch Law (research master) at Tilburg University and obtained his PhD in 2016 with his thesis 'Meester(s) over bronnen' (Tilburg).
As Director of Education, Marnix is involved in the education policy of the faculty (intended learning outcomes, curriculum, examinations, educational innovations, visitation/accreditation etc.).
In addition, Marnix conducts research in various fields, including methodology of legal research, legal education, property law (particularly contract law), Caribbean property law and Caribbean private international law.
Marnix is teaching in the context of the bachelor’s thesis and within the master’s courses ‘Contractenrecht verdiept’ (advanced contract law) and ‘Aansprakelijkheidsrecht’ (liability law). As a guest lecturer, he is involved in the master’s courses 'Perspectives on private law’ at the University of Curaçao and ‘Legal Methodology I and II’ at Nyenrode Business University.
