Marleen Stolze is a programme manager at the IND. As an external PhD candidate at the BSI of Radboud University, she conducts research on leaders’ openness about sensitive topics: what are the effects on well-being, work relationships, and team performance?
It is not common for leaders to openly discuss sensitive, vulnerable topics with their employees, whether personal (e.g. divorce) or societal (e.g. climate change). Yet such openness may enhance well-being, interpersonal connectedness, and group performance. In the coming years, we aim to investigate this in three studies.
