I am interested in the interaction between form and meaning in language and how this results in structural variation within and between languages. I have worked mainly on the topics of animacy, case marking and word order. My approach is best characterized by the integration of insights and methods from theoretical linguistics, linguistic typology and psycholinguistics. In addition, I am interested in how we can translate linguistic findings and reasoning to grammar teaching at school.
