Migration, dynamics of migration control and governance, (re)production of social imaginaries through the concept and practice of immigrant integration.

For my Ph.D. project, I combine an ethnographic approach with archival research to explore the entanglement between the construction of the 'abnormal/undesirable migrant' in migration control and governance and the (re)production of social imaginaries of 'good migranthood'.
