L.J.A. van Tilburg (Lennert)

I work as an educational innovator within the educational institute for Math, Physics and Astrophysics. In that role, I provide didactic and topical support for teachers who want to develop their courses. I also work on the curriculum level.
Together with my innovator colleagues from the faculty wide, we work on broader educational themes and exchange ideas and practical solutions. Within our educational Journalclub, we stay up to date with the didactic literature.

I also work on educational research (SoTL), where I mainly focus on the academic teaching practice within our faculty.

As a teacher ambassador of the TLC, I can mingle with a lot of other educational enthusiasts, share experiences and bring good practices to our faculty. The network that the TLC provides, and the personal contacts that grow from it, are vital in finding common educational themes and keeping a positive outlook on education going.
