I am an expert in condensed matter theory. Most of my works are devoted to electron transport and kinetics in semiconductors, metals and semi-metals. Transport theory is dominated by large scales that correpond to different ways to dissipate enenrgy and momentum. That is why ab initio metodologies cannot be directly applied. Kintetic theory may also be applied to systems that are far from equilibrium and describe material properties that are largely unrelated to the ground state properties as the matter of principle. My current research is focused on the problems of non-equilibrium magnetic properties of conductors and on some classical problems of spitronics, high temperature superconductivity and quantum kinetics.
