Judith van Uden is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Sociology of Law and the Centre for Migration Law of Radboud University Nijmegen. Her PhD is a multidisciplinary study of major life events, such as marriage, divorce and birth, in the lives of Middle Eastern and South Asian migrants in Morocco. She is currently she involved in a research project on labor migration law, examining to what extent labor migration could be a solution to labor shortages in the Dutch energy transition sector. Grounded in legal anthropology and sociolegal studies, her work aims to develop a deeper understanding how people experience, interpret, and engage with law in everyday life.
