Prof. F.W. Vaandrager (Frits)

Professor Frits Vaandrager develops methods for chasing software bugs. These methods are applied to systems that are expected to be fail proof but whose reliability is hard to demonstrate due to the complexity and extraordinary number of possible conditions, as in flying an airplane or driving a train or car. Vaandrager's group frequently discovers bugs in existing systems and helps to improve the design of new systems.
