Dr E.J. van de Vate (Esther)

As an associated researcher, I study Carmelite spirituality in Flanders and the Netherlands during the second half of the seventeenth century. I focus on the disclosure and translation of sources, the Exercise of the Presence of God and the description of (female) sanctity models within the reform of Touraine. I do this in collaboration with the Institutum Carmelitanum in Rome.
