Eric Venbrux has a long-standing interest in how people are dealing with death, not least because it reveals what people consider most important in life. He conducted anthropological fieldwork among the Tiwi people of Australia, as well as in Switzerland and The Netherlands. He has published extensively on mortuary ritual. Current research interests include religion and climate change, ‘technology of enchantment’, and religious heritage.
