PhD candidate - Orthopedagogics: Learning and Development
Jessica Vergeer is currently working as a PhD candidate within the Behavioural Science Institute. She works on the NRO-funded project called 'Impact of Activities in Gifted Education' (IMAGE). This project focuses on the impact of current interventions to improve tailored education for gifted children. In her PhD project a systemic approach including the role of policy, educational, and family actors will be used to investigate working mechanisms and underlying conditions of these interventions.
During this project she will be supervised by prof. dr. Anouke Bakx and dr. Marjolijn van Weerdenburg.
Before starting as a PhD candidate, she obtained the bachelor's degree of the Academic Teacher Training (ALPO) at the Radboud University and the HAN University of Applied Sciences and she completed the master program Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of York.
