My research focuses on how animals (large herbivores, scavengers and carnivores) influence nutrient cycles from local to landscape scales. I am particularly interested in how the full life cycle of animals, including death and decomposition, can contribute to ecosystem restoration, with implications for scavenger and carnivore conservation. I mainly focus on scavenger communities, carrion decomposition and ionomics of biological tissues, and on combining these themes.
