Dr. Tamara van Woezik is assistant professor at the Radboud Teachers Academy. Her research focuses on affective learning and self-directed learning. Much of our education relies on the premise that learners can direct their own learning. This calls for a positive and stimulating learning environment. The research projects of Tamara van Woezik are focused on the interactions between teachers and learners that foster such a learning environment.
The research projects are in three contexts, namely university students, teachers in secondary education and the academic teachers in training. The projects are about the development of sense of belonging, autonomy-support and the development of self-directed learning and teacher agency.
Within the teacher education program she coordinates courses about pedagogy and designing education on sustainability. She is also involved with courses about personal and professional development.
