Why do individuals, even financial professionals, and organizations often make sub-optimal decisions? And what can we do about it?

Many answers can be found in psychology. Stefan Zeisberger conducts fundamental and practically relevant research in behavioral finance, with the aim to understand investor behavior and support individuals and organizations to make better decisions. Given comtemporary developments, he takes into account the ongoing digitization in the financial industry (FinTech) and also sustainability considerations. His work has been published in many leading journals inlcuding The Review of Financial Studies, Management Science and the Review of Finance.

Stefan is Professor of Financial Economics at the department of Economics and Business Economics at Radboud University. He received is PhD from the University of Münster, Germany, with summa cum laude and held positions at the University of Zurich and the California Institute of Technology afterwards. Stefan also is Professor for Fintech - Experimental Finance at the Department of Banking and Finance of the University of Zurich.
