J.B. Zuijderwijk (Jochem)

Jochem Zuijderwijk has a background in sociocultural anthropology, philosophy of science, and Science and Technology Studies. His main research focus is on the (per)formative effects of academic governance, education and funding systems on different practices of knowledge creation.

Past ethnographic research includes work into the effects of evaluation systems on biomedical research practices, and work on the assessment and funding of interdisciplinary research proposals.

Jochem works at ISiS as a postdoc to research interdisciplinary research and education practices across Dutch universities, and explore their interrelation with disciplinary, institutional and funding infrastructures.
