Future Proof Professional Services FFTR (TOF)

TOF
Duration
2024 until 2026
Project type
Organisational

As part of the Future-Proof Support Organisation FFTR programme (TOF), the Professional Services of the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies worked to improve their services. Increasingly complex and rapidly changing circumstances called for closer collaboration—both among support staff and with academic colleagues. Across the organisation, many ideas already existed about how services could become faster, more efficient and more effective. Over a period of two years, Professional Services staff worked together to develop and implement these ideas.

Project-Based Working

From the outset, TOF was organised according to the Projectmatig Creëren (PMC) methodology (Project-Oriented Creation). Several staff members completed specialised training to provide greater structure to the improvement programme. This approach not only supported the substantive objectives of the individual projects but also strengthened the organisation's flexibility and adaptability.

The faculty aims to further embed project-based working within the organisation. Staff members interested in Projectmatig Creëren (PMC) and wishing to undertake training are encouraged to discuss this with their manager. Would you like to learn more about FFTR's experiences with PMC? Please contact programme manager Nursabah Zivali [insert link].

When we launched the TOF programme in 2024, I really wanted to organise the programme itself in a different way. Not only have the eight projects delivered valuable outcomes for the organisation, but I also see that project-based working has changed the way colleagues approach complex projects that demand a lot from them. In that regard, we are now in a much stronger position than we were three years ago.
