Every company has its own “headache file”. An issue that everyone can get worked up about, but no one knows a simple solution for. Topics such as cultural change, leadership, agility and social safety are classic wicked problems: complex, multi-layered and influenced by human behaviour, underlying patterns and organisational culture.
Nevertheless, these issues are often still approached with an overly simplistic, linear change approach. Think of isolated interventions, training courses or tools that address the symptom, but not the underlying system. As a result, real change fails to materialise, while employees continue to experience dissatisfaction, a lack of autonomy or appreciation issues.
During this free inspiration session on Tuesday 10 February 2026 (12:00–13:00), Jurgen Hell, lecturer, senior systemic coach and expert in organisational psychology and change management, will show you how to effectively tackle wicked problems using concrete examples from practice.
He will introduce you to a systemic way of looking at things, in which underlying dynamics, leadership styles and cultural patterns take centre stage. And you will discover how to move from single-loop learning (symptom-based approach) to triple-loop learning: actually changing the way teams and organisations work and think.
What will you learn?
In this session, you will gain insights, examples and practical tools to:
- Recognise wicked problems within your own organisation.
- Understand why some problems should not be “solved” but approached differently.
- Switch from linear solutions to a systemic approach.
- Develop leadership beyond transactional management.
- Create a safe learning environment in which organisational development and behavioural change can truly take place.
- Expand your ‘toolbox’ with frameworks such as self-determination theory or single-, double- or triple-loop learning
Who is it for?
