Radboud International Training on High Ability (RITHA)
In the RITHA training you will gain insight into identifying and guiding (sometimes not yet visible) abilities and educational needs of gifted children, adolescents and adults.
RITHA training (ECHA recognised)
Are you working in education or care of gifted and highly talented children, adolescents and adults? Do you want to supervise parents or teachers of gifted and highly talented children and young people? Then the redeveloped Radboud International Training on High Ability, or RITHA for short, is for you. Previously, this course was known as the ECHA course. Having completed RITHA, you are therefore also internationally recognised as a member of the European Council for High Ability (ECHA).
After completing the RITHA Practitioner course, there is the possibility of progressing to the RITHA Specialist course.

Foundation: RITHA Practitioner
In the first part of the RITHA training, you follow modules on the fundamentals and core themes of and scientific insights about giftedness:
- Blended (80% online, 20% face-to-face during seminars on location);
- Consisting of three blocks spread over 12 months;
- Study load: 420 hours (15 EC), assuming an average study load of 8-10 hours per week;
- Concluded with a Field Research;
- Leads to the RITHA Certificate (Radboud University) and the ECHA Certificate (European Council for High Ability).
Advanced: RITHA Specialist
In the second part of the RITHA training, you work, under individual supervision of a supervisor, on a scientifically based final product:
- Blended (80% online, 20% face-to-face during seminars on location);
- Consisting of one module, spread over 12 months;
- Study load: 420 hours (15 EC), assuming an average study load of 8-10 hours per week;
- Concluded with a scientifically sound Final Product;
- Leads to the RITHA Diploma (Radboud University) and the ECHA Diploma (European Council for High Ability).

Radboud University's RITHA programme is the only internationally recognised programme of the European Council for High Ability (ECHA) of the Netherlands. This European organisation works together from science, educational practice and politics to improve the education of (highly) gifted students.
