In-Company Programme: Foundations of Gifted Education and Care

Our programme offers your employees a thorough introduction to different perspectives on high ability. They can then develop further, for example to become an ECHA specialist.

This unique part-time programme (12 weeks) introduces your team to a scientific framework for giftedness, learning where to find new information, how to critically evaluate it and how to use it in practice. The teaching is mostly organised asynchronously so that your employees can combine work and study.

Learning goals

  • Comprehensive Understanding of Giftedness: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the intellectual, social, and emotional characteristics of gifted individuals, enabling identification and provision of appropriate educational services.
  • Establishing a Critical Scientific Foundation: Develop a broad and critical knowledge base in gifted education and care by: Reading and critically analysing diverse scientific sources related to giftedness and cultivating a critical attitude towards information, including personal beliefs, and evaluating them in light of scientific evidence.
  • Personal Development of Views on Giftedness: Foster the development and adjustment of individual perspectives on giftedness through engagement with various pedagogies, programmes, and differing approaches presented in the course.
  • Application of Knowledge in Educational Settings: Apply learned principles and approaches in educational settings to effectively identify and cater to the needs of gifted students, considering their intellectual, social, and emotional aspects.
