Rob Schoonen is a professor at the Department of Language and Communication and the Centre for Language Studies at Radboud University, Nijmegen. He is a researcher in the recently established Language Learning, Teaching and Testing research group. He is an expert in the methods and techniques involved in linguistic research, language assessment and language proficiency. Together with colleagues from Leuven, he has been jointly responsible for the Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal (certificate for Dutch as a foreign language) (CNaVT) since relatively recently, under the supervision of the Dutch Language Union.
Several of Rob Schoonen’s important publications deal with the relationship between reading and writing skills, and language competences for language learners, including Dutch as a second language at B1 and B2 level.

Ine van den Heuvel has worked for Radboud University Nijmegen since 2002, where she started as Head of Market Exploration, Strategy and Development. She has been administrative director at the Faculty of Law and a member of the faculty board since 2016.

Yvonne Benschop is professor of Organizational Behavior at the Institute for Management research at Radboud University Nijmegen. She is head of the Department of Business Administration and leads the Gender and Power in Politics and Management faculty research group. She is also affiliated with the Center for Gender in Organizations at the Simmons School of Management, in Boston, USA. She was Co-Editor in Chief of the academic journal Organization from 2015-2020, a member of the Distinguished Advisory Board of Gender, Work and Organization, and a member of the editorial boards of several other academic journals.
Her teaching, research and consultancy work focus on how organisations shape and give substance to their responsibilities for gender equality, diversity and inclusion. She is particularly interested in informal organisational processes that recreate inequalities, and in interventions that precipitate organisational change to achieve greater diversity, equality and inclusion.

Elias Vlieg is Director of Education at the Education Institute for Molecular Sciences, and Professor of Solid State Chemistry at Radboud University Nijmegen. He researches crystal growth. The aim of his research is to gain a fundamental understanding of the processes that take place during crystal growth, and to use this knowledge to predict and control crystal properties like morphology and perfection.

Teaching assignment: cognitive neuroscience
Guillén Fernandez is Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University Nijmegen. He studies the basis of memories, emotions and their interactions in the brain. The research is foundational but has the explicit goal of improving education through establishing a neuroscientific understanding of learning processes, and enabling personal care in psychiatry by providing a mechanistic understanding of stress-related pathophysiology.
Guillén Fernandez is in charge of the ‘Healthy Brain Cohort’ project. It is a collaboration between Radboud University, Radboudumc and the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. The project’s aim is to collect data for brain research.
Senior Controller Financial Administration Faculty of Arts
As Senior Controller at the Financial Administration of the Faculty of Arts, Nico Schröder supports applicants of externally funded projects to prepare budgets and settlements. He also advises directors of independent units like In’to Languages, Centre for Language and Speech Technologies and the Centre for Parliamentary History, and he coordinates issues related to accommodation in the Erasmus Building.
MSc Aventus Sector Director Entree & Education
Martine van Tilburg is Sector Director of Entrance and Education at Aventus. She has been working here since 2014, after having worked at Wageningen University and Research, among other places. Aventus offers over 200 different courses at the MBO level. The Entrance and Education sector has launched a study on how education can do still better justice to newcomers’ different backgrounds.
