Because of my anxiety about ‘how will I come across?’ I had trouble being myself. The training course helped me tackle that
"I took the Pitch Training course at In’to Languages on the recommendation of a colleague. Although communication comes easy to me, pitching myself was a whole different matter: I had the presentation down, but the anxiety about ‘how will I come across?’ meant I had trouble being myself. The pitch training course helped me tackle precisely that: What do I stand for, what are my strengths, what do I want to convey, and how can I best do that?
Trainer Janou immediately made contact and managed to bring out a sense of individuality and self-confidence in me, which we then used to tackle the presentation in a ‘workshop’ format. After that, we practised the practical aspects, of course, but we also explored the presentation scenario. It was precisely by focusing on that — for example, what do you do if things don’t go as planned — that I was able to continue my preparations with a much greater sense of confidence.
The personal approach really rounded the whole experience off.
I would recommend this course to anyone who has a tendency to put off such tasks, and to take it at an early stage!"
