What will this course bring you?
The main objective of these courses is to learn to communicate in Dutch. All skills are developed: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
In Social Dutch IV, more attention than in the Social Dutch-courses I to III is given to such matters as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Reading and writing skills are mostly practiced in the time allotted for self-study. Grammar is always covered in a communication context and for functional purposes.
Subjects and situations that will be dealt with in Social Dutch IV include talking about what you can say to a doctor, how to talk about your health, giving your opinion in Dutch, writing formal letters or e-mails and learning more typical aspects of Dutch culture.
Target group
Social Dutch IV is intended for those who already have some prior knowledge of Dutch. If you have passed Social Dutch level III, you can participate in level IV. You can also start at level IV if you have studied Dutch before, for example in your home country.
Certificate and final level
This course will take you from level Halfway to A2 to A2 (CEFR). After the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance (provided you have attended at least 80% of the classes). If you want to continue learning Dutch, you can subscribe for an intake and switch to a regular day or evening group starting on level A2.
