Intensive winter course Social Dutch II

Did you complete Social Dutch I and would you like to continue learning Dutch? Or have you already acquired some basic Dutch elsewhere and would you like to expand your knowledge, for example by learning how to talk about the past? In that case, our one-week intensive Social Dutch II course is just the thing for you.

    General

It is currently not possible to register for this course.

What will the course bring you?

In this course we use the book Start.nl part 1 – Dutch for beginners. You will be doing chapters 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. These chapters will teach you to ask about arrival and departure times in public transportation, to talk about your house, to talk about events in the past, to order something in a bar or restaurant, and to know what you can say in a shop. This is the same as what you would normally learn during the regular Social Dutch II course.

During classes the focus is on communication and actively engaging with this material.

    Target group

To start at Social Dutch level II, some prior knowledge of Dutch is required. If you have passed Social Dutch level I, you can participate in level II. You can also start at level II if you have studied Dutch before, for example in your home country. In this case, you need to schedule an intake so your level of Dutch can be assessed.

    Certificate and final level

This course will take you from level 0 to Halfway to A1 (CEFR). After the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance (provided you have attended at least 80% of the classes). After completion of this course, you can follow the Social Dutch III course.
