Language course French for beginners (halfway to A2)

The French halfway to A2 course will be suitable for anyone who can already understand simple words, sentences and short texts in French. For example, you should be able to describe something, and be able to talk about the past and be familiar with irregular verbs. This course will continue to build on what you learned at the A1 level and will take you halfway to A2 level.

    General

    Entry level

    In order to qualify for this course, we expect you to have knowledge and skills of the French language at the A1 level. This means, for example, that you should be able to describe a place, and talk about your daily life and about what you have done in the past. You should be familiar with a variety of irregular verbs and the passé composé (present perfect).

    If you completed the preceding French for beginners A1 course at In’to, you will automatically be able to progress to this course. After completing this French language course, you will be able to:

    • have simple, short conversations on personal topics;
    • broadly follow everyday conversations on familiar topics;
    • broadly understand short, simple texts (brochures, advertisements);
    • write short, simple messages or e-mails.

    The course focuses primarily on verbal communication, as well as reading, listening and writing skills. You will also learn more about French culture.

    To receive a Radboud in’to Languages certificate, you need to attend 80% of the classes.
