Entry level
In order to qualify for this course, we expect you to have knowledge and skills of the French language at the B2 level. This means that you should easily be able to have a French conversation, that you can respond spontaneously and that you have an extensive passive knowledge (reading and listening skills). You should be able to talk in indirect speech and be able to use a conjunction with the subjonctif (subjunctive) or the indicatif (indicative).
If you completed the preceding French B2 course at In’to, you will automatically be able to progress to this course. If you did not complete this particular course, we will invite you to take part in a telephone intake so that we can determine whether this course is appropriate for your language level.
After completing this French language course, you will be able to:
- understand long speeches, TV programmes, and films without too much effort.
- understand long and complex factual and literary texts, and appreciate the use of different styles. understand specialised articles and lengthy technical instructions.
- provide clear, detailed descriptions of complex topics.
- express yourself fluently and spontaneously. Use language flexibly and effectively for social and professional purposes.
- write a clear, well-structured text, setting out points of view in reasonable detail.
The course focuses primarily on verbal communication, as well as reading, listening and writing skills. You will also learn more about French culture. To receive a Radboud in’to Languages certificate, you need to attend 80% of the classes.
This course will help you on your way to language level C1.
