Language course German for beginners (halfway to A2)

The German halfway to A2 course will be suitable for anyone who can already understand simple words, sentences and short texts in German. For example, you should be able to describe something, introduce yourself and also be familiar with irregular verbs. This course will continue to build on what you learned at the A1 level and will take you halfway to A2 level.

    General

    Entry level

    In order to qualify for this course, we expect you to have knowledge and skills of the German language at the A1 level. This means, for example, that you should be able to describe a place, and talk about your daily life and about what you have done in the past. We will invite you to take part in a telephone intake so that we can determine whether this course is appropriate for your language level.

    After completing this German language course, you will be able to:

    • have simple, short conversations on personal topics;
    • broadly follow everyday conversations on familiar topics;
    • broadly understand short, simple texts (brochures, advertisements);
    • write short, simple messages or e-mails.

    The course focuses primarily on verbal communication, as well as reading, listening and writing skills. You will also learn more about Italian culture. To receive a Radboud in’to Languages certificate, you need to attend 80% of the classes.

    This course will help you on your way to level A2. After completing this course, you can continue with our course German A2 to complete the A2 level.
