Entry level
In order to qualify for this course, we expect you to have knowledge and skills of the Spanish language at the B1 level. This means that you should easily be able to have a Spanish conversation and that you already have an extensive passive knowledge (reading and listening skills). For example, you should be able to formulate an opinion properly and structure a written or oral story.
If you completed the preceding Spanish B1 course at In’to, you will automatically be able to progress to this course. If you did not complete this particular course, we will invite you to take part in a telephone intake so that we can determine whether this course is appropriate for your language level.
After completing this Spanish language course, you will be able to:
- have conversations on work, study and social topics, with occasional help with more complex formulations. You will be able to communicate independently as a rule, although you may need some support for abstract or nuanced topics;
- express your opinion and develop simple arguments;
- explain your point of view and understand and respond to others' reactions;
- understand longer spoken and written texts, such as news reports, work-related emails and instructions. You will understand the main idea and relevant details well;
- distinguish between formal and informal language in everyday and work-related situations and apply this distinction appropriately in most situations;
- write coherent texts, such as emails, short minutes, and simple speeches, with a clear structure and understandable arguments, despite occasional language errors;
- develop further towards full B2 level, for example through a follow-up course or targeted exam preparation.
The course focuses primarily on verbal communication, as well as reading, listening and writing skills. You will also learn more about Spanish culture. To receive a Radboud in’to Languages certificate, you need to attend 80% of the classes.
This course will help you on your way to language level B2.
