Language course Spanish for intermediate students (B1 part 2)

In this second part of Spanish at B1 level, you will deepen your knowledge of the language so that you can communicate more fluently and on more complex topics. You will practise, among other things, longer conversations, discussing cultural topics and expressing your opinion clearly.

Entry level

This course is the second part of B1-level Spanish. In order to take part in this course, it is important that you possess the knowledge and skills from the previous language levels. For example, you should be able to actively participate in a conversation in slow Spanish and be able to read short Spanish stories. You should also know how to give your opinion in a discussion or written text and you should be familiar with the passive form.

If you completed the preceding Spanish B1 part 1 course at In’to, you will automatically be able to progress to this course. If you did not complete this particular course, we will invite you to take part in a telephone intake so that we can determine whether this course is appropriate for your language level.

After completing this Spanish language course, you will be able to:

  • have conversations on familiar topics;
  • understand the main points from simple texts;
  • formulate a personal opinion in a simple way;
  • write texts and e-mails on familiar topics;

The course focuses primarily on verbal communication, as well as reading, listening and writing skills. You will also learn more about Spanish culture. To receive a Radboud in’to Languages certificate, you need to attend 80% of the classes.

This course will help you on your way to language level B1. After completing this course, you can continue with Spanish B1 part 3 to complete the A1 level.

This course takes place from 5 October until 30 November. There is no class in the week of 19 October because of the autumn break.

Approach and content

Spanish is spoken as much as possible during classes, with Dutch and English as the supporting languages. This means that in most cases, you can take this course if you do not speak Dutch. Please contact our Service Centre for more information.

You should count on about three to four hours of individual study per week.
