Language course Swedish for intermediate students (halfway to B1)

Can you already have simple, short conversations and read short Swedish texts and write simple messages? And would you like to develop your Swedish language skills further? You can register for this Swedish halfway to B1 course. You can also enrol in this course if you have completed the Swedish A2 course.


    After completing this Swedish language course, you will be able to:

    • have conversations on familiar topics;
    • understand the main points from simple texts;
    • formulate a personal opinion in a simple way;
    • write texts and e-mails on familiar topics;

    The course focuses primarily on verbal communication, as well as reading, listening and writing skills. You will also learn more about Swedish culture. To receive a Radboud in’to Languages certificate, you need to attend 80% of the classes.

    This course will help you on your way to  language level B1.

    This course takes place from 3 October until 28 November 2024. There is no class in the week of 21 October because of the Autumn Break.

    Class day and time: Thursdays from 6.00 - 7.30 pm 
    Number of participants: min. 6 - max. 16

    There will be eight meetings:
    - 5 online meetings (2, 3, 4, 6 and 7) and
    - 3 on-site meetings (1, 5 and 8).

    Approach and content

    Swedish is spoken as much as possible during classes, with Dutch and English as the supporting languages. This means that in most cases, you can take this course if you do not speak Dutch. Please contact our Service Centre for more information.

    You should count on about three to four hours of individual study per week.
