Target group
This service is aimed at lecturers who provide education in the English language in higher education and who are not native speakers, but speak English at a high level (C2).
What will we look at?
For this observation service, you will record a 50-minute lesson or part of a 50-minute lesson and send it to our experienced trainers.
Based on this recording you will receive a full lesson report with feedback on aspects such as:
- Pronunciation
- Contextually correct vocabulary (educational vocabulary, academic vocabulary, etc.) to clarify the content of the lecture
- Are your sentences grammatically correct?
- What kinds of questions do you ask?
- How do you motivate students in English, and how do the students react?
- In which way do students participate in discussions and how do they ask or answer questions?
- How do you use and refer to support tools (videos, PowerPoint, etc.)?
Goal
Using this observation service, you will be able to reflect on your didactic skills in English. This will optimise your intercultural lecturing practice. The design of this service is very practical in nature. You will receive concrete feedback and tools to improve your language and communication skills.

Then you may be able to take part this course for free under the language policy discount scheme.
Staff of Radboud University and Radboudumc who do not fall under the language policy discount scheme for this course will receive a 10% discount.
