It is abundantly clear that differentiated teaching is needed in NT2 classes, but also that this takes a lot of energy. Yet it is something many NT2 teachers are faced with, often due to an ongoing inflow and outflow of course participants. In this masterclass, we will discuss ways to optimise teaching within a highly heterogeneous group.

By linking two differentiation models to different organisational forms, we offer a concrete teaching approach that creates more calm and a clear overview for the NT2 teacher, and a more focused language output for the course participants.
