Content and structure
This course consists of two 3-hour sessions and is practical and interactive.
You will work on your own presentation (or part of it). You will learn how to build your story effectively and efficiently. You will practise, hone your skills and receive personal feedback, tips and tools that will help you make your presentations more engaging and interactive. You will experiment with consciously using your personal expression so that form and content strengthen each other.
You will work in a small group, with plenty of room for input on questions and personal challenges. You will film your presentation, so you can watch it back at leisure, after completing the course.
Session 1: Your story
- Make a strong start. Position yourself. Connect with your audience and engage them directly with your story.
- Structure and storyline – An engaging start, a clear core message, and a powerful conclusion.
- Take the stage – Position yourself, posture, gestures, expression and timing.
In the meantime:
Prepare your presentation (or part of it) taking into account the tips from Session 1. You will have up to five minutes in Session 2 to present. You will receive personal feedback and coaching on this on the spot.
Session 2: Your performance
- You will give your presentation (or part of it) and receive coaching on the aspects covered in Session 1.
- Dealing with tension – Techniques to channel stress and focus on connecting with your audience.
- Interaction – Engaging your audience and managing questions and answers.
- Support your message visually.
