Approach and content
The course provides more than a list of tips and tricks: you will work on your writing skills in a targeted way with exercises and your own texts. In doing so, you will receive personal guidance and feedback from the trainer and, if you are doing the course with a group, from your fellow participants. By having others read your texts, you will quickly gain insight into your own pitfalls and learn how to make your writing style more accessible.
After this training your written communication will be more effective, because you:
- Know the difference between language levels;
- Know what an appropriate language level is for your target audience and message;
- Be able to write in short paragraphs;
- Be able to make explicit connections between sentences and between paragraphs;
- Write in short sentences;
- Use high-frequency, easy words;
- Know when a formal or informal style is appropriate;
- Know when to use the active or passive style is appropriate.
Who is this course intended for?
For anyone who wants to be able to write clear and customer-oriented texts for a broad, general audience like general citizens, customers and patients.
