Content and structure
In this three-hour workshop, we show you how to work effectively with AI to improve your writing productivity and quality. We offer practical exercises in which you work on your own texts. After the workshop, you can submit your texts, prompts, and reflections on the use of AI for personal feedback from the teacher. This workshop will help you remain up to date and embrace the potential of AI for your writing.
The workshop covers the following topics:
- How do you work effectively with AI? Writing prompts, asking follow-up questions, and critically assessing the output.
- Preparing a text: Learn how to use AI as your brainstorming partner.
- Writing a text: Find out whether and how to give AI writing tasks, and learn how to critically evaluate the output.
- Revising a text: Decide which aspects of the text you can improve with AI, how you will ask for feedback, and how you will evaluate and apply the results in your text.
After completing this workshop:
- You will have a better idea of various AI tools, what these tools can help you with, and when it is wise to refrain from using AI.
- You will understand the risks and pitfalls of AI tools.
- You will understand the different phases of the writing process, and which writing strategies you can use in each phase with AI.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is aimed at anyone who regularly writes texts (ranging from emails to advisory reports) and wants to learn how AI can help in the process. This workshop is designed for people who have little or no experience of writing with AI.
Costs
- Regular fee: €295
- RU staff: free of charge. Please note: The Executive Board subsidises this course for Radboud University employees. We do ask you to fill in that you pay yourself. If you register, but are not present, you are responsible for the costs yourself. You are also responsible for any cancellation costs.
