What others say about our courses
“Thanks to the exercises in the course, I managed to give a presentation in Dutch about my research”
Theo took the advanced Dutch course at In'to Languages. Soon after, an exciting but slightly nerve-wrecking opportunity presented itself to test his language skills at work... A great example of how ‘just doing it’ can get you further!
"My name is Theo and I'm a PhD candidate at Radboud university medical center. In my work, I have frequent contact with patients, so it was very important for me at some point to be able to talk to them in Dutch.
A few months ago, our department organised a patient information day, and I was asked to participate. I was quite nervous when I found out that I had to present my work in Dutch, but I decided to go for it.
The writing, speaking and presenting exercises in this course really helped build my confidence so that I managed to present and talk about my research in Dutch in a way that was understandable and well received by everyone. I even managed to answer the questions of the patients and have a chat with them. And I was super happy about it."
