Today, most organisations are already working on issues such as sustainability, inclusiveness and circularity. Plans in these areas are often set out in their vision statements, annual reports or other reports. Calls from society to pay attention to these topics are also growing: from governments and investors to accreditation organisations and other stakeholders.

Sustainability & Strategy
In the Sustainability & Strategy programme, you will tackle big questions such as: how do you integrate goals such as sustainability and responsibility into strategy to actually make an impact? And how can you prepare yourself and your organisation for the unpredictable future circumstances regarding sustainability? Often the will is there to deal with these questions, but the knowledge and expertise to properly address these issues is lacking.
General
Yet in practice, it proves difficult to turn sustainability plans into actual results. You may recognise this in your own organisation: the intentions and ideas are there, but the impact often lags behind. This is not surprising, because the goals set often sound huge and it is difficult to find out exactly where to start.
The programme Sustainability & Strategy offers clarity on how to tackle these issues and which choices can be made to achieve real impact. Especially at a time when developments are as rapid as they are today. So the need for this training has never been more obvious than now.

Programme
Module 1: Framing
You get to know the other participants by sharing everyone's (initial) plans/strategies for sustainability and responsibility. What makes related issues so difficult and what do we need to learn on and off to deal with them well? We also collectively look at the art of experiencing the importance of assumptions for our thinking and actions.
Module 2: Exploring
During these two days, you look for opportunities and threats in your own initial strategy. Together, we identify the (uncertain) assumptions in our plans and use the outsider's view to become aware of what we ourselves may no longer see.
Module 3: Preparing
Vulnerabilities and opportunities are the focus of these two Preparing days. How do you deal with them? You learn to prepare for the moment when your assumptions are no longer correct. You do this by learning to analyse assumptions explicitly and to design actions in preparation for such situations. And you learn how an attitude focused on preparation and learning works well when assumptions unexpectedly turn out differently.
Module 4: Adapting
On the penultimate day of the programme, you will work on implementing the adaptive strategy and the conditions for embedding it. You will also learn about concrete steps that need to be taken to get your own plans embedded in your organisation. What are you up against in terms of governance? What clashing values and institutions
do you encounter? What does it mean for your business model?
On the last day, you present to the group where you stand and what concrete steps you are going to take.
