Establishment of Titus Brandsma Circle
A successful first edition of the Congress of the Titus Brandsma Circle marks the start of the Titus Brandsma Circle.
The Congress was part of the major project to publish the Collected Works of Titus Brandsma in seven volumes that Dr Hense is leading in collaboration with Joseph Chalmers S.T.L., former Prior General of the Carmelite Order. The project is funded by Radboud University and the British and Irish Provinces of the Carmelites as well as the General Council of the Carmelites in Rome. Over the coming years, Elisabeth Hense and Joseph Chalmers will continue this edition project with five more volumes in collaboration with different institutes, among them the Institutum Carmelitanum at Rome and the German Carmelite Institute in Bamberg, and in particular with Jos Huls and Carmen Fotescu of the Ad Montem community in the Netherlands.
