INNOVATE: new Horizon Europe research consortium

Roderik Rekker, assistant professor of Empirical Political Science, is part of a new Horizon Europe research consortium called INNOVATE. This group of researchers from across Europe focuses on strengthening the interaction between migration research and migration policy.

Within this consortium, research at Radboud University focuses on mapping actual perceptions about immigration among citizens and policymakers. How do they differ from each other? And how has politics become polarised? With this, communication strategies can eventually be developed that will make the migration debate more rooted in the actual reality of immigration and less in ideological biases.
