1. Dealing with moral tensions at work
Do you ever wonder whether you can still act according to what you really find important, while reality pulls you in different directions every day? In many organisations, ideals clash with daily practice: time and staff shortages, conflicting demands from stakeholders, assertive customers and (geo)political pressure. That causes friction... and that is precisely when you have to make moral choices.
During Future Forward, ethicist Marcel Becker will not prescribe what the right choice is. But as an expert in the field of applied ethics, he can clarify the underlying moral tensions and thus provide insight into how you can remain true to your values.
2. AI for Global Development
AI is changing everything, from monitoring and evaluation to citizen participation and data ethics. But what problems does it really solve? And where does it reinforce prejudice, exclusion or dependence on technology suppliers?
In this session, development economist Zunera Rana will teach you about the role of AI in international development. She will also highlight new applications, from digital public goods to humanitarian early warning systems. Finally, you will be invited to join the discussion on the governance questions that every organisation must ask itself before implementing AI.
3. Meeting in a diverse team
Do you work in a diverse team and sometimes find that not everyone gets a chance to speak? Or that decisions are difficult to reach? In this session, communication trainer Janou Hemsing will help you test a practical meeting approach on a realistic case study. You will immediately experience which interventions work to ensure that everyone has a say, to maintain an overview, to strengthen cooperation and to reach supported decisions. You will go home with concrete tools to make meetings more inclusive, effective and constructive.
There are many more interesting and informative sessions during Future Forward. Would you like to know more about the programme?
