This large project aims at translating and briefly annotating all extant letters by the great Roman politician, orator, and author Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43). Some of his letters have been translated into Dutch, but this is the first time the entire correspondence is rendered in that language. Given the vast amount of material (nearly 1,000 letters, comprising some 275.000 Latin words) the collaboration of a number of translators is needed. The various books of letters have been assigned to a member of the team, while all translations are read by fellow members according to a scheme. The entire project is due to be published by Van Oorschot Publisher in the course of 2023.
