The overarching theme we envision for this collaboration is co-creation for sustainability. This grant is thus also supporting our contribution to the growing aspiration of Radboud University to streamline sustainability issues and societal challenges in teaching and research, through different approaches. Addressing key ‘wicked questions’ requires building a sustainable international network of academic partners and, in particular, giving sufficient attention to less visible academic partners.
It is about what we can learn from each other, how we can jointly create knowledge, and how our students should be exposed to knowledge from other horizons too. But what would decolonizing our education and research, through co-creation, look like? Overall, we want to contribute to transforming policymaking through a better understanding of local realities by exploring different methodologies together, by making important connections between research and education.
