The EU Migration Law Simulation offers an innovative teaching instrument on EU migration law. By linking theory and practice, students experience how complex the reality of European migration law is. Students will take on different roles in a migration case and will develop skills in legal communication and international collaboration. The simulation takes 60 minutes and includes an interactive roleplay and a wrap-up in which the teacher links the roleplay to the course. No preparation is needed. After playing we hope students have a better understanding of how the different legal EU-instruments, EU policymaking and caselaw interrelate, as students have a role to play in future migration law practices. The simulation is developed by the Radboud University in collaboration with the company GRIP Game.
