The activities for this project will be held in English.
Everyone sometimes finds it difficult to make new contacts and connect with people. We want to make that easier for you, by removing barriers to talking to people who are now strangers to you, but soon won't be anymore! With this, REconnect aims to increase students' sense of connection, with Radboud University, its staff and other students.
About the project
REconnect is organized by Radboud Student Wellbeing and behavioral economists from the Nijmegen School of Management. The program is part of a research project on student wellbeing. Therefore, you will therefore be asked to complete a survey at the beginning and at the end of the project, which will take about 20 minutes. The surveys relate to your personal situation in terms of wellbeing, social life and feelings of belonging at Radboud University, and helps our research team gain insights into how the university can support student life.
How does it work?
We organize four plenary evenings on campus. During inspiring and interactive lectures you will get to know researchers from Radboud University more personally, learn from their insights and how they as people connect with others. Afterwards, we create moments for you to meet each other during drinks in the Culture Café on campus. Each week you will receive one free drink from us. These sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings.
In addition, we invite you to join a group of five students, with whom you will take up fun cooking challenges and have a nice meal together. Furthermore, you can participate in joint trips to different student organizations to your liking, and also get to know this part of university life better.
Finally, we close off REconnect after your exam period with a festive dinner night in the Student Chaplaincy.
