Lower agricultural yield due to heatwaves is one of the major problems facing society in the coming decades. To maintain food security and and improve sustainability, in this project, we study the genetics of heat tolerance of tomato grown in hot cultivation areas. The project will contribute fundamental biological insight as well as materials and strategies for breeding of heat tolerant crop varieties.
