Radboud University has developed a test, given to all incoming undergraduate students, that aims to determine which students may need extra support to develop the academic language skills required for success in university. The test is delivered in the language of the student's program, Dutch or English, regardless of first language. This project aims to evaluate the predictive validity of the test. Does a student's test result reflect their academic writing ability and their scores in university? How effectively does the remedial program help those students who fail the test?
