Role models and policies

Policies around parenthood are increasingly aimed at ensuring that fathers who want to do so share care equally with their partners. In this project, we want to investigate why it is that policies seem to work well for some groups and less so for other groups of fathers. An important explanation in this that we are investigating is the role of role models. Who do Dutch men see as role models when it comes to combining work and care? Fathers and their adult sons are interviewed about their work-care ambition and work-care behaviour and how they are influenced by their environment.
