The collection “The (im)possibilities of collective actions in the context of ESG cases” examines the extent to which collective actions, particularly under the WAMCA, are suitable for bringing claims in the field of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and what developments are occurring in this area. Various topics are covered, such as WAMCA admissibility requirements, third-party funding, insurance aspects, private international law and trends in collective actions concerning specific ESG claims, such as human rights, environmental damage and labour law. Both national and international aspects are discussed. The editors aim to provide a comprehensive and inspiring overview of collective actions in the field of ESG claims.
