Reducing the demand for travel is difficult as mobility concerns are typically not included in the decision making processes of mobility generating sectors, including the health sector. This sector is at the beginning of a transition to cope with projected increases in healthcare demand and costs in the next decades. Digitalisation of the healthcare sector provides opportunities to deliver more local and digital healthcare, thus reducing the need to travel. However, the necessary integrated frameworks and organisational arrangements are lacking. This research aims to integrate Triple Access System Planning (TRIAS) Strategies in healthcare processes and business cases to improve the healthcare organisation, accessibility and quality of healthcare.
Triple AccesS planning (TRIAS)
In a transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary consortium, TRIAS is investigating new ways to integrate digital, spatial and physical mobility into visions and strategies for healthcare accessibility.
