Vending machines

Multiple places on campus offer vending machines for hot drinks, soft drinks, snacks and office supplies. There are also Health Food Walls in the Huygens Building, the Erasmus Building, the Berchmanianum building, the Maria Montessori building and the Central Library.

The vending machines allow you to pay with Maestro, Mastercard and Visa debit cards. At the Health Food Walls, payment is done via the QR code in the accompanying app. Employees can help themselves to free coffee or other hot drinks. They “pay” at the machine using their employee card.

In the assortment of the vending machines, products with labels and fair, organic products have been chosen. There is also a choice of products with less sugar. You can use your own mug at all coffee machines.

Malfunctions

Is there a machine malfunctioning? You can report this via:

Call +31 24 363 33 33 (available on weekdays 08.00 - 16.30) or mail to servicecentre-cf [at] ru.nl (servicecentre-cf[at]ru[dot]nl). Always mention the type of malfunction, the building, floor and the vending machine number. This number is on the vending machine display when you press the i-button.

Is there a malfunction and the product cannot be issued? Then the payment made will be refunded to your account within 24 hours. This applies to all vending machines on campus. 

Campus card and privacy

Employee cards or debit cards are required to use the coffee machines. Below you can read what happens to the data.

  • Only the number of cups used per machine is recorded. No personal data such as your name or e-mail address is stored.
  • The card reader recognises your employee card and the machine knows that you do not have to pay.
  • The camera is only used to scan the card or QR codes on vouchers. No images are stored.

Placement and maintenance of vending machines

Campus & Facilities provides placement, care, maintenance and troubleshooting of vending machines. The delivery time for placing a new vending machine is approximately 10 weeks.
